Northern Range Highway
Between the North Entrance Gardiner, Mammoth, Tower Junction and Cooke City

This road includes the North Entrance highway, the Grand Loop Road between Tower and Mammoth and the Northeast Entrance highway.  This road is open year ‘round and may require snowtires or chains in the spring and fall.

Gallatin District
Between Big Sky and West Yellowstone, U.S. 191 is open year ‘round.  Snowtires are recommended in the spring and fall.

The West Entrance road and the road between Mammoth and Old Faithful and the road between Norris and Canyon
These sections of road will open on 04/18/08 through 11/02/08

Canyon Area Roads
The South Rim Drive is scheduled to open on 04/18/08.  The North Rim Drive will be closed throughout the summer for road construction.  Large rv’s are recommended to park at Canyon Village and take the tours to the overlooks due to limited parking.

Canyon to Lake and the East Entrance Road
05/09/08 through 11/02/08

Old Faithful to West Thumb, West Thumb to Lake, Tower Jct. to Tower Falls, Cooke City to the Long Lake gate and the South Entrance Road
05/16/08 through 11/02/08.  This includes access to the Chief Joseph Highway between Cooke City and Cody, WY

Tower Falls to Canyon, Firehole Lake Drive and the Beartooth Highway
05/23/08, conditions permitting.  Dunraven Pass (Tower to Canyon) and the Beartooth Highway close on October 13th.  Firehole Lake Drive closes on 11/02/08
