The Upper Loop Visits the large variety of terrain and scenery of the Northern Portion of Yellowstone. The Virginia Cascades, Upper Terrace Drive and the Petrified Tree are all attractions that are closed to busses and other large vehicles. This trip will also travel the park’s highest road, Dunraven Pass, on the way to Tower Falls. A short Hike at Mammoth Hot Springs, Undine Falls, Rustic Falls and the Golden Gate canyon and Falls will show you how diverse Yellowstone really is. This tour is noted for it’s variety of wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls. This trip can be great for bears in the early spring and fall.
Tour Highlights:Gibbon Falls, Tower Falls, the Petrified Tree, Undine Falls, Gardiner Stage Coach Road (if open), Mammoth Hot Springs, Fort Yellowstone, The Blacktail Plateau Stagecoach Road (if open), the Chittenden Road, the Hoo Doos, Rustic Falls, the Golden gate Canyon and Bridge and Obsidian Cliff.
Common Wildlife:Elk, Black Bears, Bison and Pronghorn are common, there numbers are best in spring and falls. Grizzly Bears, Coyotes and Big Horn Sheep are occasionally sighted. Of course, a Moose is possible in the Gallatin District and Big Sky Area.
