Yellowstone's Northern Loop is noted for it's wide variety of wildlife and scenic terrain. First, you will visit Gibbon Falls. After lunch in Mammoth or Gardiner, you will visit Tower Falls, the Petrified Tree and Undine Falls as you work your way to historic Mammoth Hot Springs where the group will visit Fort Yellowstone and take a short hike to the terraces. The return trip will visit the Hoo Doos, and the Golden Gate Canyon and Bridge.
Tour Highlights:Gibbon Falls, Tower Falls, the Petrified Tree, Undine Falls, Gardiner Stage Coach Road (if open), Mammoth Hot Springs, Fort Yellowstone, The Blacktail Plateau Stagecoach Road (if open), the Chittenden Road, the Hoo Doos, Rustic Falls, the Golden gate Canyon and Bridge and Obsidian Cliff.
Common Wildlife:Elk, Black Bears, Bison and Pronghorn are common, there numbers are best in spring and falls. Grizzly Bears, Coyotes and Big Horn Sheep are occasionally sighted. Of course, a Moose is possible in the Gallatin District and Big Sky Area.
