June 10 through June 15:
This trip traverses one of Yellowstone’s great remote canyons, traveling through the heart of the Northern Range, which is full of wildlife. The trek will begin with a drop into the sage and wildlife filled meadows of the Northern Range and into the rugged and wild Black Canyon of the Yellowstone. Fishing season begins on Memorial Day weekend, so bring your gear.
Great wildlife viewing is likely on this trip with elk, bison, coyote, black bears, grizzly bears, pronghorn, wolves and mule deer are all possible on this trip. Beautiful, open scenery will be us almost every step of the way. Our routes may vary due to permits and conditions. Most likely the trek will be a point A to point B trek, with ups and downs. Days range from 5 to 10 miles per day.
This trip does travel through highly used bear habitat.
