Sample 8 Day Trip
With Grand Teton National Park and Beartooth Highway
Day 1: Fly into Bozeman, MT transfer to Big Sky, MT, visit the Museum of the Rockies (time permitting).
Day 2: Activity Day. Choose from the activities mentioned above, up to 3 per day. Stay in Big Sky a second night.
Day 3: An early start to avoid the crowds, touring the West side of the park, including Old Faithful, the Fountain Paint Pots, the Old Faithful Inn, Firehole Falls, Firehole Lake Drive, the Keppler Cascades, Lewis River Falls, and out the South Entrance to Grand Teton National Park, visiting Jenny Lake and a few of the viewpoints along the way. Stay in Jackson, WY. (Please note their may be an additional charge for lodging in Jackson).
Day 4: Travel north on the outer road in Grand Teton National Park, hitting some of the viewpoints on the outer road. Back in Yellowstone, you will visit Moose Falls, West Thumb Geyser Basin, Yellowstone Lake, the Lake Hotel, Sylvan Pass and over nighting at a guest ranch outside the East Entrance. There is time on this day for a day hike in Yellowstone’s backcountry or to ride a ski lift or two in the morning in Jackson.

If you want to spend more time in Jackson or Cooke City (for the wildlife), then we can add a day or two on. Every one of the packages are custom built to your interests.
Day 5: An early morning departure for wildlife in the Hayden Valley, visiting the Mud Volcano, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Upper Falls, Lower Falls, Crystal Falls, Dunraven Pass, Tower Falls and the Lamar Valley. Depending on the group’s pace, there may be time for Norris Geyser Basin as well. This night will be spent in Cooke City, MT
Day 6: Take a quick early morning trip into the Lamar Valley for wildlife. In the afternoon, you will travel to what is considered the “most beautiful highway in America” by Charles Kuralt, the Beartooth Highway. Overlooked by most of Yellowstone’s visitors, the Bearooth Highway is Montana and Wyoming’s highest road, with views that stretch for miles. The morning wildlife can be substituted with a trip up the Chief Joseph Highway, an equally as beautiful road. Spend the night in Cooke City once again.
Day 7: An early morning departure for wildlife in the Lamar Valley, visiting the Petrified Tree, Undine Falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, Rustic Falls, and a soak in the Boiling River. Transfer back to Bozeman if you have an early flight. There should be time for a day hike this day as well.
Day 8: For those with a flight later than 11 am. With an easy drive to the airport, and daylight as early as 5 am, we can tour more of the north side of the park, picking up some of the attractions that may have been missed the night before. On night 7 you would stay in Gardiner, outside the North Entrance. After more sightseeing, wildlife watching or soaking, whichever you prefer to do, we will also travel the original stagecoach road to the park, the Old Yellowstone Trail before heading to the airport to catch your flight.
